Blue Christmas Holiday Grief Service

December 5th – 2 p.m. Temple Worship Center So many times we hear… “Since our loved one died, the holidays just are not the same. If only there was some way to remember and honor the love we shared”. We agree, and that is why we are inviting you to a special time to do just that. Blue Christmas is a memorial service celebrating the life of loved ones who have gone on before us, whether recent or in the past. It is a time especially for all who are missing loved ones this holiday season. Perhaps you have lost a parent, spouse, or a child. Maybe there has been a stillbirth or miscarriage. Or perhaps your loss has been another relative or a good friend. This service will be a way for you to remember any and all of those who are special to you. While you may just choose to attend Blue Christmas, there are a couple of additional opportunities during the service that are planned to bring special and personalized remembrances of your lost loved ones. A personalized candle with your loved one’s name can be purchased. This candle will be lit during the service as their picture or name is shown (see #2 below). The candle will then be available for you to take home afterwards. You may leave the $5 fee and your loved one’s name at the ABT Office. Even if you choose not to purchase a personalized candle, we would still like to recognize your loved one by showing a picture and/or listing their name. There is no cost for this. There are two ways to help us prepare to do this: – For the picture presentation, send a digital picture and your loved one’s name to Dave Davenport: dd@abt316.com – If you don’t already have a digital picture (JPEG) of your loved one, this can be produced at many local stores (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid) and sent to Dave’s email directly. We would also be glad to help you if you need assistance. Deadline for submissions is November 27th. – If you do not desire a candle or a picture, you can simply email your loved one’s name to Dave Davenport: dd@abt316.com or call the ABT office at 330-745-8824. Deadline for name submissions is December 2. We encourage you to bring your family and friends to Blue Christmas and find a safe and comforting place to honor those you have loved. Through music, testimonies, and God’s comfort and love, you will be able to experience first hand the peace that can come to your holiday season this year. We will be honored to share this time with you. For additional information about Blue Christmas, email dd@abt316.com or call ABT at 330-745-8824. Please use the main entrance or Door...

ALL IN for Jesus

ALL IN for Jesus! Why does it seem that so many people who call themselves Christians have so little in common with Jesus? Hypocrites in the church are giving Jesus a bad name. Without a doubt that is why Mahatma Gandhi said,  “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” At ABT we want to change that perception. So we have focused our attention on what it means to be an authentic ALL IN Christian. We want to be people who look like Christ in our character and actions. Salvation is a free gift. We receive this precious gift unaware of what it fully means to have a faithful relationship with God through Jesus Christ. As we grow, we discover the depth of His love for us. As we do, we find that there will be a moment when we affirm what He has done for us by declaring we are ALL IN for Him. This declaration does not take place at our spiritual birth, but will emerge as we become aware of how much He has done for us. Nothing less than being ALL IN for Him is acceptable as  we truly understand His love and passion for us. For the sake of Christ, and His kingdom, let’s all be ALL IN for Jesus and for His work here at ABT! Watch the ALL IN life change stories from some amazing...
